I have the honour to report that I have

granted Mr. William Thomas Edwards, Drainage Surveyor, Public Works Department, a pension at the rate of £158.88.92. per annum with effect from the 7th September, 1921, and that the Crown Agents for the Colonies have been instructed to issue payments to him as they become due.

I have also granted him prior to his retire- ment from the service five months' leave of absence on full

pay to commence on the 7th April, 1921.
